India Deserves
Its Own
Manga Magazine.
Japan has Shonen Jump. Korea has Webtoon. India has 500 million young readers and world-class artists — and no manga magazine of its own. Cosmics Entertainment is changing that. But first, we need your voice.
2 minutes. Free. Your vote shapes the magazine before we print a single copy.
Why Indian Comics
Never Scaled.
India has had comic publishers for decades. None of them built what Japan, Korea, or France built. Here is why — and why Cosmics is different.
“India has 500 million young readers who consume manga and anime — all of it from Japan and Korea. Not one Indian publisher has ever given them a magazine they can call their own.”
Traditional publishers pay writers, artists, and editors before a single copy ships. Budget exhausted. No marketing budget left. Titles die in silence. India’s cycle for 40 years.
Shonen Jump gave Naruto, Dragon Ball, and One Piece a home. A magazine creates recurring readers, creative pressure, and community. India has never had one.
India has 500,000+ manga-style artists on Instagram and DeviantArt. 100+ publishers exist — none offer creators ownership of their own IP. Work-for-hire only. No future royalties.
Indian comics sell almost exclusively at conventions. 355 days a year, revenue is near zero. No subscription model. No magazine. No recurring income for anyone.
Publishers decide everything. Readers have no say in genres, stories, prices, or formats. The audience is treated as consumers — not as the community that drives everything.
Zero production cost model. Creator-owned IP. A magazine shaped by reader votes. 100+ creators, one platform. Not another publisher — India’s first manga ecosystem.
What We Are
Building Together.
Cosmics Entertainment is not launching a product. We are building a movement — India’s first creator-driven manga ecosystem where the reader shapes the magazine and the creator keeps their story forever.
“Japan built its manga empire over 70 years. Korea built its digital comics dominance in 20. India has the readers, the artists, and the stories. What we lacked was the platform. Cosmics is that platform.”

What We Are Asking You:
Manga Magazine
India’s Most
Creator-Friendly Deal.
For the first time in India — a publisher where your copyright stays yours. Forever. Cosmics takes a license. Not your story.
In Japan, Kishimoto owns Naruto. Shueisha holds the license. Cosmics works the same way. Your story belongs to you — always. We take a 5-year exclusive publishing license only. After that, everything reverts to you completely.
Magazine sales. Volume sales. Merchandise. You earn 10% from all three simultaneously. Every issue printed, every volume shipped, every product sold — 10% is credited to you.
If 5 years of publishing does not generate ₹20,000 in royalties — Cosmics pays the difference at the end of Year 5. You will not walk away with nothing. This is a written commitment.
Writers without artists: Cosmics matches you with a skilled manga artist from our network. You write. We provide your visual partner. Their income comes from the same royalty pool — not from your pocket.
Your story, your length, your pace. A 16-page short or a 300-page complete story. No upfront cost. No impossible deadlines. Create alongside your existing life.
Every creator gets an experienced editor — passionate about Indian manga. Story development, feedback, quality review. Included at no cost and not deducted from royalties.
India’s Stage.
From Story Idea
to Published Manga.
Fill the creator application form. Tell us your story concept, estimated page count, and genre. Share your portfolio or writing samples — no formal experience required.
Our editorial team reviews every application. Selected creators receive a personal call, a straightforward agreement, and an editor assigned to their project within the week.
Work with your editor at your pace. 16 to 300 pages — your story, your timeline, your visual style. We provide support, never pressure.
Your story enters India’s first manga magazine. Volume published. 10% royalty from day one. Hit 90%+ reader rating and your one-shot becomes a series with 15-year royalties.
Honest Answers
to Real Questions.
You do — permanently. Cosmics receives an exclusive publishing license for 5 years covering printing, distribution, and digital only. After 5 years, even that license expires and everything returns to you. Your copyright never transfers. This is the Japan model and it is how Cosmics works.
Absolutely zero. No submission fee, no platform fee, no hidden charges. Editorial support is free. Artist matching is free. Royalties are paid to you — not by you. Your only investment is your time and your story.
Yes. Cosmics matches writers with artists from our existing network. You write the story. We find your visual partner. The artist works on a profit-sharing model — their income comes from the same royalty pool, not from your pocket.
Cosmics commits to a ₹20,000 minimum payout after 5 years. If your total royalties across 5 years do not reach ₹20,000, Cosmics pays the difference at the end of Year 5. You will not walk away with nothing.
Manga-sized physical magazine. Approximately 150 pages per issue. Around 10 creators per issue. Additional pages include interviews with anime clubs, manga historians, and creator spotlights. Quarterly to start, scaling to monthly as the subscriber base grows.
If your one-shot receives 90%+ positive reader rating, Cosmics approaches you about converting it to a full series. Series creators receive 15 years of royalties. The rights structure stays creator-friendly throughout. The best stories become long-running franchises.
Because this magazine is being designed around your preferences — literally. Price, frequency, page count, language — every editorial decision is based on survey data from real readers. 10,000 responses before we print a single copy. Your vote changes what gets published.
Yes. 14 published titles, 2,200+ orders shipped, and 3 years of operations — all bootstrapped with zero external investment. Our founder Mohammed Shahbaz serves as Event Head of the Indian Comics Association — the industry body he helped conceptualize and build from the ground up.
India’s Manga
Future Is
Yours to Shape.
“Japan built its manga empire over 70 years. Korea did it in 20. India has the readers, the artists, and the hunger. All that was missing was the right platform — and the right community to demand it into existence.”
